Wild Country Honey Bars
Chock full of honey, nuts and seeds

© Outdoor Adventure Canada

One of my recent finds was Wild Country Honey Bars manufactured by Anke Kruse Organics in Acton, Ontario.

There are over a dozen flavors in organic and non-organic varieties including Granola Honey, Nuts for Us, Sunflower, Mixed Nut Sesame and Peanut Honey. These are not like the standard energy bars on the market and aren't chock full of chemical additives or supplements.

Wild Country Bars are a yummy carbohydrate that provides natural energy. These cholesterol free snacks are less than two hundred calories each and contain between seventeen and twenty six grams of carbs.

My favorite flavor is the Granola Honey Bar but all the flavors are quite tasty. Just good old fashioned ingredients in these treats. A few of these bars tossed in a day pack or backpack can be a welcome addition to any hiker's diet.
