My son wants to try some of his artistic skills doing wood burning on a paddle. Problem is, I can't seem to locate a local source for them.

Nothing fancy, just a plain old wooden paddle without any finish on it with enough blade to do a design on.

If anyone knows where I can pick up a few please let me know. It would be appreciated.

Forest city surplus has them for $10 each but have a light finish to it maybe a sander on it for a few minutes would be all that is needed.
to do more canoeing than working! Someday.

Give Grey Owl in Cambridge a call. I have purchased paddles from them in various states of completeness for our youth group to finish carving and varnish.
