Well....first round of beef jerky is underway. I can't wait. I dried some yams, for my four-legged friend, last night.

I think I'm in love....LOL

For Shepherds Pie - carrots, peas, corn, mushrooms, ground beef.
For pasta - spaghetti sauce, ground beef
For munchies - Beef Jerky - and after 4 attempts I am finally getting it!! Tastes real good and just the right texture (at least now, we'll see how it is on the trip!!)
Didn't do any fruit for this trip. I'll bring some granola bars instead.

I recently did a load of jerky on my Traeger smoker I highly recommend one of these BBQs over gas as you can do way more. I just ordered a e dehydrator from London drugs I can hardly wait till its here.

Not only can you use it as a smoker but you can BBQ on it as well. Easy clean and completely automatic.
I love mine and use it as a bbq quite often and boy the ribs are great after a day of smoking and grilling mmmmm

I've got blueberries, strawberries, bananas and tomatoes on the go.

Checking out some dehydrated left-overs from the freezer and making up my menu and lists this afternoon.

For page 124... keep the meat pieces small and allow a little extra time to rehydrate. That's one of Bry's favorites. I love 135 and might have to make it for home this week.

The kiwis turned out great they are a little sour though but not so much you can't eat them.
you guys talking about pages reminds me of a story.
In this small town bar I was was visiting with a local all of a sudden one guy shouted out 44 and the whole bar broke into laughter, I ask my friend about it an he told me that they knew all the jokes so they just numbered them to shorten them. I though i would try it so I shouted out 23 and the bar was silent, I asked my friend what was wrong and was told that the joke was funny it was my dlivery.

Thanks for the heads up on 124.

I just finished dehydrating Sunny Garlic Hummus and it looks awesome even in dry form. Only a spoonful for sampling then straight to the dehydrator it went otherwise my partner and I would have eaten it all last night :-)

I'm about to start the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus.

I just took off the Sunny Garlic Hummus and Citrus Lentil Salad. That hummus is so much better than the prepackaged dry stuff.

Now there's peaches and cherries on the go. Tomorrow it's Hungarian Goulash, shrimp and clams. I think I'm going to try dehydrating a jar of green curry for a shrimp dish.

Thanks for the compliments. I have a few new hummus and dip recipes coming out in the second book. One is also with red peppers and has a Greek twist. I'll try and remember to post it.
