T-Fal 8 Piece Family Outdoor Cookset
Non-stick cookware for the outdoors

© Outdoor Adventure Canada

T-Fal sent the team at OAC one of their Family Outdoor Cooksets to test. I was a little unsure because of the size and weight. At eight pieces this set seemed more suited to car camping. Of course, we all know that Teflon is great for non-stick pans for home use but my concern was how this cookware would perform on my single burner stove. That being said I went ahead and took it on a canoe trip. I was pleasantly surprised.

The biggest of the pots has the volume to cook enough pasta for four to six people and the lid has a built in strainer, very convenient! T-Fal also added a second, fixed handle to the large pot for added stability. Several pot sizes are included along with two fry pans that can also double as lids. The standard removable handle is for all the pots and it is cool to the touch. The set is rugged and did not seem to warp at all with the heat. Being Teflon clean up was a breeze.

For campground campers this cookset is a must-have, for canoeists it would be ideal on a trip where space is not an issue or where a larger group is involved. Although the T-Fal Family Outdoor Cookset is not practical for backpacking, I did notice in the T-Fal pamphlet that there are smaller sets available.
