Outdoor Organizer
Keeping your pack contents handy

© Outdoor Adventure Canada

Bryan's Law of Backpacking - Any item you wish to retrieve from your backpack will be found in the last place you look.

I find it quite frustrating rummaging through my pack, time and time again, only to get so perturbed that I dump the entire contents on the ground. Outdoor Research has created a solution, the Outdoor Organizer.

The Outdoor Organizer is made of 227 g (8 oz) pack cloth and ranges in size from 12.5 cm x 20 cm x 2.5 cm (5" x 8" x 1") to 15 cm x 27.5 cm x 7.5 (6" x 11" x 3"). This handy holder is perfect for a first aid kit, toiletry bag, or repair kit. The fold-out design allows access to those items that like to hide in the deep and dark recesses of your pack. The compartments are in a variety of sizes and the elastic bands hold items such as pill vials in place.

My significant other uses hers for her toothbrush and other toiletries. I use mine for my repair and maintenance kit. It keeps everything compartmentalized and its bold, red colour stands out in my pack making it easier to locate and the contents are more organized than a ditty bag.

Note: the design of this product has changed but we found the quality just as good.
